EU WOMEN

The EU WOMEN project aims to increase the number of
women considering self employment by developing a
tailored, pre-enterprise learning programme and making
it available online.
EU Women is co-funded by the the
European Commission through the Leonardo da Vinci
programme and involves colaboration between partner
organisations in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Italy, Lithuania,
Portugal, Romania, Spain and the UK.

Activities
The EU WOMEN project has:
-
developed bespoke, innovative pre-enterprise
learning materials for women
-
translated these materials into the 8
languages of the partnership
-
utilised the MOODLE Learning Management System
to make the material freely available over
the internet.

Pilot Tested the interactive course in
Romania, Bulgaria & Italy.

Course Content
The EU WOMEN e-learning course covers the
following modules:

Financial Planning & Monitoring

Setting Your Goals

Results and Impact
The partners anticipate that by developing these
materials and making them accessible to women
across Europe the EU WOMEN project will:

enable women to learn about pre-enterprise
in a flexible and accessible way
-
empower women to take the next step towards
self employment
-
facilitate the transfer of knowledge,
innovation and best practice between
partner countries
-
contribute to the economic development of
member states

Target groups
It is hoped that the EU WOMEN project will benefit
women from across the EU, particularly those who
face the greatest pre-enterprise challenges
(e.g. women living in rural areas,
those with little or no academic qualifications,
the long term employed, full time carers, etc.)
